The 2014 Trafficking in Persons Report was released by the U.S. State Department on June 20 by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Ambassador-at-Large Luis CdeBaca in the Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. The report details the status of trafficking in persons in 188 countries around the world.
The U.S. Embassy to the Holy See, the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, and the Global Freedom Network thus organised a special roundtable, via digital video conference (DVC), with Ambassador Luis CdeBaca to discuss the global issue of trafficking and the State Department’s report. The roundtable was hosted by U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See Ken Hackett and Global Freedom Network Chair Bishop Sanchez Sorondo on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Casina Pio IV, Vatican City.
